My pouch seems to have extra fabric. Could my sling be too big?

No way! Our deep pouch design can seem a little large at first, especially for a newborn, but HugaMonkey's unique pouch is deeper than other slings for a few good reasons:

1. A deeper pouch offers your baby more privacy when sleeping (without that heavy and hot blanket!)
2. When outside, wrap the side of the pouch around your little one for more protection against the suns rays.
3. Our pouch is designed to allow room for your baby to grow (up to 30 lbs!)

If you are worried that your sling is too big, look at where the sling lays when your baby is inside. When your baby's bum is in the pouch seam, the bottom of the sling should be at the top of your hip bone, near your navel. If it's dropping much lower than that, then your sling could be too big.
