Ergo Baby Carrier

  • Starts at $105
  • Dangles baby
  • Bulky and heavy
  • Buckles, straps, hooks - Oh my!

Ergo baby carriers are similar to Baby Bjorn, Snugli, MacLaren, and other front-pack carriers. An Ergo sling has features more like a baby hiking backpack, with pockets and hooks for water bottles, etc. It would probably be a good carrier to take an older baby backpacking across Europe, for example. Putting a child in the back position with the Ergo head guard is very difficult for a single person to do, requiring the help of another. Ergo front packs also “dangle infants” with their little extremities hanging outside of the carrier.

HugaMonkey baby slings are fabulous for everyday use. They fold up compactly, are lightweight and breathable, and have no extra padding, straps, buckles, or ties. Infants are curled up as if in the womb, keeping them warm and comforted. Older babies are held securely and can be put in the HugaMonkey sling without any assistance. A HugaMonkey sling can be used every day, from the day they’re born up to three years old!
