It's about baby wearing

So baby #2 is on her way. 8 weeks left on this trek. A few weeks ago the beginnings of the freak outs started happening. My latest one is that I won't be able to make it to the hospital in time. With my last little guy (four years ago), I had a real freak out when I realized he HAD to come out of me. I mean, I didn't have any choice (rocket science, I know!0 Crazy how those things work out, right?

But my realization this week is that I have something I don't need to worry about: all that extra gear. With my little guy, I went through so many strollers and fretted about the car seat, and made sure I had a bassinet exactly right. I even made bumper pads. What a waste (and a risk!)

This time around, I'm not going to worry! i got rid of my big, bulky stroller that the car seat attaches to. I quickly crossed off the the double-stroller idea (my little boy is probably getting too big anyway) and am so excited to know (at the beginning!) that I can comfortably wear my baby in a sling. I honestly can't wait for the squirms and squiggles to be outside of my stomach (instead of inside!)

So this baby is getting the luxury treatment from the beginning. I'm so glad we can learn from what we've done in the past (and not have to learn EVERYTHING over again!)
